I tried to play the game before, but I could not understand it because there was no Turkish language option, but now I can easily understand it with Turkish language support. Thanks for the Turkish translation!! Who did this
I could not play the game at first because my English is not advanced, but now I can play the game with the Turkish language option you have brought, thanks.
I just finished playing through it fully and this is by far one of my favorite games now! The art and story is amazing and the endings were something I would've never expected. Embry deserves so much better I love them </3
I played through the game twice and enjoyed it both times! I love the idea that you're playing as a child and as the story progresses you get subtle reminders that even though Embry has the weight of the world on their shoulders right now, Embry is still a child. Very well done!
This game was very nice, I liked the way it presented the story!! And I want to translate this game into Turkish. If you are intersted, you can contact me. Here is my e-mail address: enginben123@gmail.com
You should make an ending where you tell the doctor what's going on, and an ending where you run away and meet the doctor on the way there anyway and its wholesome. Because Dr. D Light is the best and needs to exist in every ending.
This game really resonates with me. Not going to spoil anything in this comment for the sake of other's, but I found the protagonist to be highly relatable. And garners tremendous sympathy from the player. Again, not to spoil, but their actions, and the ultimate outcome in this game really struck a chord with me, few other games have. The expressive, colorful visuals really emphasize the desperate atmosphere that hangs over the protagonist. Desperately trying to cope with their situation, and telling themselves, "everything is going to be okay..." Its works as a metaphor for coping with a terrible tragedy, and trying to remain steady in the face of something truly horrible. A very well made game, well done!
Hello, I would like to translate this game into Italian, my native language. As soon as I've seen this game online, I truly fell in love with it and I would be glad to make this game accessible to more people. Sadly, I had never had any experience of this type before. However, I already tried changing some dialogues/menu words and succeeded; I also am pretty skilled in English, so I can assure you that my translation will be accurate and appropriate.
Great game! The ending bugs me but I think it's supposed to. Would be cool if there was more opportunity to just interact with the stuff around you but other than that, not a lot of criticism. Good job!
I must say, I really enjoyed the story and how it played out. This video includes the two different path that the game have but I'm shocked that there is only one ending. Enjoy the video and thank you for creating this game!
I watched a gameplay of Bijuu Mike playing this game, and this game is really good and intriguing. The symbolism of Embry who is child with trauma is really interesting, and (slight spoiler warning?) F for Doctor D Light.
I left this comment on my review but I also want to put it here just in case! ^^ __
I got to watch this game a while ago on a let's play(I have ManlyBadassHero to thank.) Everything about your game is wonderful. The attention to detail is astounding and I was immediately immersed in the graphics and charming art style. RPGmaker games or indie games like this have always been my favorite for years, finding a high-quality game like "It's not me it's my basement" is like finding a twenty-dollar bill in your pocket. My highest praise goes to the story and the characters. Everything about it had me hanging onto every detail--asking myself questions after question trying to unravel the mystery. (Spoilers!!! for those reading ahead!) I just want to say that you, the developer, are absolutely incredible, talented, and unfair in making me care about characters I've only known for such a short time. What am I supposed to do now? Go on with my life? I'm now emotionally invested with these characters and now I have to let them go? So unfair... ^^ Embery for instance--you portrayed trauma in a young child so perfectly. You showed how resilient yet so absolutely fragile they are during such a terrifying and mentally taxing time. I also love how you explained the way their mind took in and was dealing with the situation--how they knew what happened to their parents and what the monster was and at the same time didn't understand it--but by convincing themselves to endure and take it "day by day," they could avoid a worse situation. I know I worded all that poorly and I apologize, but I was immensely impressed by that scene and your understanding of the mind and how it tries to 'repair' itself. Doctor D Light was the last character I expected to see in this game but boy was I NOT disappointed. I know the symbolism and purpose of the story being told would lose its purpose by saying this, but I choose to believe that Doctor D Light is still alive because I love him and his character with a mighty passion. His death was a little predictable as I could see where the story was going the moment he came onto the scene, but I was able to be pleasantly surprised later on by other things. Also, Embery's panic and dread after the doc died also had me in shambles more than I already was. Poor Embery. The game's symbolism hit me hard. Every time I look back at this game it reminds me to stop and think about what I'm locking away or 'feeding' behind closed doors. It doesn't always work, but it's comforting to now have this metaphorical "basement" in my head where I can assess myself and my own fears(I have a lot of those). Thanks for reading my long essay! I hope this gets to you arcadekitten! I genuinely loved this game and the meaningful story you told through it. You are a gem among developers and I hope you continue to prosper in your game-making. Aaand if you ever think about making another game or a spin-off with these characters of anything, you already have a sold game in my checkbook! (No pressure, of course, we creators have our own plans with the things we make ^^).
Another quick note: I've been taking a painting class this semester and the painting scene/metaphor REALLY struck out me more than just the underlining meaning, "You need to know what you're doing before you get started." Just like my professor told me, always think a few steps ahead!
This message did get to me, and it means the absolute world to me! Comments like these are what inspire and motivate me to keep working towards my game-dev dreams! Seriously, I had to pause reading this because I felt like I might cry from how nice it was. Thank you so very much, you'll never know how much this means to me!<3
Scanned it through hybrid analysis, if you run malwarebytes there is a chance heuristics scans may ping it as a virus, chances are this is a false positive.
It should be safe, but if you experience any unusual activity after running this game email it to c0rvidzz@protonmail.com and i'll reverse engineer it.
I see alot of people afraid of the game because of how the antivirus pings it, so i'm going to investigate it and give you guys a full report on my findings.
I drew Embry as good as I could but it was 2:00 at the time so I wasn't in the mood.
Edit: I mostly draw girls so I'm sorry that it looks like Embry is mostly a girl, I am very aware that they are nonbinary and I am not the best with drawing torso's, thank you for reading this.
I'm having issues with the download on windows. Windows flags it as a virus and therefore I cannot download it at all. I'm really interested in this game and would love to play but I am unsure of a fix for this.
So, what's the monster looks like actually? Some says Embry accidentally kill her parents, but I refuse that since the doctor also died. If the monster is her imagination, how did the key ended up in a box? Not to mention there are also some tentacles appear from the box when Embry try to check under her bed
I very much agree on this opinion, I feel like the monster/or monsters are aware of shape shifting and are using that do their advantage. We are aware of this from the scene where Embry was reading and the monster/or monsters sounded like Embry's mom, father, and yet Embry their self. Yet I do support other peoples opinions like the one where Embry has a split personality that she just doesn't know about.

Is this a prequel to the game "Trick n Treat" or a sequel.
Or it takes place in an alternate timeline?
Alternate timeline!
Oh! Thanks for replying to me.
I wish it was in the same timeline tho. Well whatever I look forward in helping you in your future games. Also, good luck in your game dev.
