Man...how's this game fucking free bro. This game is awesome. At first, I thought it woldn't be nothing really special. But man, I played..and played, and then I looked at my save and it was 7 HOURS LONGER. I SWEAR, I DIDNT EVEN SEEN THE TIME PASS BY DUDE. The gameplay was so smooth, the dialogue, the mysteries, it was so well put together. The art is really cute, I love it. The gameplay is good too. Its not very different and with much gimmicks, but it works and its fun, and its no hard tho, even new people to rpg can play it. I did the true ending, its really touching...I almost shed a tear bro 😭
This game's hell-a-fun to play, i highly recommend playing it, especially people that like undertale, omori, and yume nikki.
I wish I had the money to support u guys on steam, but I dont, sorry. But I really liked your game <3 (also sorry if there's some grammar mistakes, english is not my primary language)
Such a wonderful game. My friend introduced me to arcadekitten and I've just been having great fun playing through the games. I think this one is one of my favorites. The story is really good, the art is gorgeous, and I really enjoy the combat system. It's pretty simple, but enjoyable. The replicability of it is also good as well, at least in my opinion. I'm absolutely terrible at gambling, as it turns out, but at least it evokes strong feelings (of regret) from me when I think I'm doing well and then lose absolutely everything because I'm so confident I'll eventually guess right (which I never do. lol). The voice acting was a surprise as well. It's so cool to hear what the characters sound like, especially since I've seen them in other games. The characters are also easy to like and I deeply appreciate that one of the characters (Gus) shares the same name as my cat. Wonderful game. I highly recommend playing it.
Found the steam version and played through it there.
Blackout Hospital is a very enjoyable game for the most part. The RPG combat is fairly cookie cutter but given that the main focus is the narrative, setting and overall aesthetics it's something quite easy to overlook.
The cast of characters are varied and interesting, though a few side characters feel one dimensional and could have been fleshed out more. I'm aware some of them show up in other games made by ArcadeKitten but I've yet to properly play them and as such could be missing out on important info which may be part of why they feel this way.
Regardless I really enjoyed my time with the game and felt that it's length and pacing was very well done.
What a wonderful game Arcade! I really enjoyed it especially with you in the chat! From the story twists to character designs it was all top notch! To anyone reading this definitely check out the game yourself, but if you wanna see my playthrough here's the full game with all endings playlist! - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkxcnewj9xpUPcowu4E9jf3M5RmxFdeId
English is not my language. I hope this is still understandable.
I haven't played RPGs for long so I'm not very Knowledgeable. I loved the game and played it for a few hours but the next day i no longer had any saves. I had arrived at cerberooze after losing, i saved, closed the game and turned off the computer. I'm sorry for the long message, I'm not even sure if this is where i should ask.
Did you unzip the game? I had the exact same problem as you, and it turns out I was playing the game zipped, hence why the save files couldn't be properly created and stored in the game folder. If not, the directory could also be in a "protected" folder, where new files cannot be created. You should read this ask, as Arcade goes over some more reasons this could be happening.
This game was honestly so good, it took me three days to finish but it was totally worth it! The twist in the endings was just WOW! A clear 10/10 game!
THIS GAME!!!!! IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know where to start man I thought it was just gonna be a cute lil rpg at first, but man that story, the characters, the npcs, the art, the atmosphere, all of it just sucks you in. It was so well thought out, so many cool ideas and secrets, and GAAH IT WAS JUST SO GOOD!!!

spoiler warning below:
One reason it felt like the story was so well thought out because paying attention to it actually mattered in the end. I was rarely stuck just because I remembered npcs, and when I got to the roof and Tetra told me about Mary I immediately knew something was up, which led to me actually getting the good ending first try! I did have to go back in because I forgot about the maternity ward and wanted to check it out, and also couldn't figure out the password to Tetra's computer. But once I did, and with the context of the true end, everything made so much sense (minus the maternity ward thing, no idea what that was. It was cool though.) I got so attached to the characters as well, I couldn't bring myself to do the other two endings so I just looked at a video.

So nice to see characters from the old games come back, in an improved artstyle compared to before. And that this one is longer.
I recently finished the game with the true ending. The true ending is not something I expected to be so touching. And I like the secret ending.
There should be instructions on the Steam page for the artbook !!
